How will I know there is a new version of Photo Explorer available?

Can Photo Explorer be used to send images by e-mail?
Photo Explorer is a MAPI application, meaning it works through the Microsoft Exchange protocol. Your e-mail software and/or e-mail provider must support this protocol to allow Photo Explorer to send. This should work with most common e-mail software such as Microsoft Outlook, Outlook Express and Eudora. It will not work with network based e-mail systems however. Using "Smart Send" you will be able to send photos, which have been optimized for email, will ease.
I used an image editor to rotate my images and now the quality is not so good, why not?
After downloading images from your digital camera it is nice to rotate the images that are in portrait layout so that the top is at the top of the screen. Be careful to select software that offers JPEG loss-less rotation' such as Photo Explorer 8.5. If you rotate using most image editors and many other products there will be a loss of image quality after the JPEG is re-saved after the rotation. It is also possible that EXIF camera information may be lost. Photo Explorer contains special functions that avoid loss of image quality by rotating the picture within the file and thus avoiding any loss of data.
