What is WordPerfect Lightning?
WordPerfect Lightning is revolutionary word processing and notetaking software that fills a gap between today's desktop and Web-based productivity tools.
This Web-connected digital notebook provides a simple set of tools that make it fast and easy to capture, use and reuse information that's important to you. Take notes, read documents, collect content from the Web, then organize your ideas and information in one place.
Once you've gathered your notes, text and images, you can create a polished document and/or collaborate with others online. WordPerfect Lightning includes an online account with workspace that allows you to store content, contacts and bookmarks, share email, back up files and much more.
How do I get started?
Just visit www.wordperfect.com/lightning and click on the Free Download tab. It's also available within WordPerfect Office X4.
What browsers does WordPerfect Lightning support?
You don't need a browser to use WordPerfect Lightning. It's a new standalone application that works with or without an Internet connection. If you want to collaborate online, you do need a browser (Firefox® 1.5 or later is recommended), but WordPerfect Lightning is compatible with Firefox, Microsoft® Internet Explorer 7 or Safari® 2.0.4 or later. As long as you're running a modern JavaScript-enabled Web browser, you can use the online resources that Corel provides through our partners.
How do I suggest a new feature?
Visit www.wordperfect.com/lightning/community and click the "Forums" tab. You can navigate to the appropriate areas to make product suggestions, report bugs or anything else that is WordPerfect Lightning-related.
What are the advantages of WordPerfect Lightning?
WordPerfect Lightning makes it faster and easier to perform your most common word processing tasks.

Whether you're viewing Microsoft® Word, WordPerfect or PDF files, taking notes, capturing text and images from the Web, writing simple documents or organizing your information into an outline or project, WordPerfect Lightning makes it easier.
When you need to do engage with others to get feedback, WordPerfect Lightning provides online tools for collaboration, file storage, email and calendaring.
How do I save my work?
WordPerfect Lightning automatically saves your projects and any changes you make for you. With a click of a button, you can also save your notebook content online. Want to put your notes together and save them as a complete document? Just send your notes to WordPerfect X4 and save them in a variety of file formats, including Microsoft® Office. You can even publish them to PDF.
How do I edit my work?
All your notes and documents are saved automatically in the WordPerfect Lightning Navigator. New notes and documents are also automatically added to the Navigator. To edit a note, simply double-click it, add your content and apply a wide variety of formatting options.
Need to edit a PDF, Microsoft Word, or WordPerfect file? Read the document in the Viewer, then send your document to WordPerfect Office X4 (even text-oriented PDF files), where you can edit, add comments, compare documents and do much more.
