Adding a perspective scroll title effect
Ever wondered how to make the perspective scroll title effect just like the ones in your favorite sci-fi movies? With VideoStudio, you can achieve Hollywood-like title effects in just several easy-to-follow steps, just like in the movies!
To make the perspective scroll title effect:
1. Click on the Title tab and double-click on the Preview window. Type in your desired text in the space provided. Just remember that it should be at least 30 seconds for a more effective effect. Also, the text should be justified at both ends. You can do this by manually adding spaces in between words to achieve the look you like.
2. Click on Border/Shadow/Transparency and make sure that you have the same attributes as shown in the image below.
3. Go to the Animation tab and choose Fly from the drop-down menu. Select the first thumbnail in the available variations of the Fly option.
4. You now have your justified scrolling text. We must then save it as a video clip first before moving on in making the perspective effect. Click on the Share tab and select Create Video File. Choose Same as Project Settings, save it with your desired filename and path and wait for the title to be rendered as a video clip.
After rendering, remove the title you made in the title track.
5. Now, we are going to make the perspective effect for your title. Go to the Library and select Video. In the gallery, drag the thumbnail of the title you made onto the Overlay track of the Timeline.
6. Right-click on the Overlay box in the Preview window and select Fit to Screen. Your video clip will then expand to fit the screen.
7. Check the Show grid line checkbox to help you in making a perfect perspective of your video clip.
8. Drag the green points you see at the corners of your screen and make a funnel-like shape such as the one shown below:
9. Preview your project and adjust the angle of your funnel depending on your preference. You can also add background music to go with your perspective scrolling title.
