E-mail Photos in a Snap
The best part of taking pictures is sharing them, and the most popular way to share digital photos is by e-mail. With Corel® MediaOne™, you get new ways to send your pictures. You can share them as a slide show, include them within the body of an e-mail, or send them as an e-mail attachment. In this tutorial, we'll show you how to amaze people with your fun photos.
What you'll need
- Corel® MediaOne™ Starter, MediaOne Standard or MediaOne Plus
- Digital photos you'd like to share
When you complete this tutorial, you'll be able to
- Send a slide show of your photos
- Embed photos in the body of an e-mail
- Attach photos to an e-mail
Note: This tutorial shows you all the options for e-mailing digital pictures. If you're using a Web based e-mail program like Hotmail® or Yahoo!® Mail, go directly to step 15.
Select Photos to E-mail
- When you open Corel MediaOne, your photos are displayed under the Organizer tab. To email a single photo, just click the photo's thumbnail to select it. To e-mail multiple photos, hold down Ctrl and click the thumbnail for each photo that you want to e-mail.

- Once you've selected the photos, click Share Photos as E-mail in the Home area of the task panel.

E-mail Photos as a Slide Show
- At the top of the E-mail dialog box, select Corel Show.

- Under Corel Show Name, you can name your show. We called ours "Summer Weekend." Click OK.
- Once you click OK, your e-mail program opens a new e-mail message with your slide show attached. In the body of the e-mail are three slides showing your pictures. Now, just address the e-mail, type your message in the body of the e-mail, and send it. That's all there is to it!

Embed Photos in the Body of an E-mail
- Repeat Steps 1 and 2 above, but this time, in the E-mail dialog box select Embedded Photos, this means your photos will show up right in the body of your e-mail.
- Click the Maximum Photo Size drop-list to choose the size of your embedded photos. A smaller photo size means that you can attach more pictures and still send an e-mail that is relatively easy to download and open. The larger the photos you send, the larger the e-mail will be. Keep in mind the type of Internet connection used by your e-mail recipients. People using dial-up modems will need to wait a long time to download a large e-mail.

- Once you've selected your size click OK.
- Your photos appear in the body of a new e-mail. You'll have plenty of room at the top of the e-mail to type your message. If you like, you can add words between each picture. Just click near the lower-right corner of the photo, and press Enter. Now you have some room to say what you like. When you're done, address your e-mail and send it!

Send Photos as an E-mail Attachment
- Repeat Steps 1 and 2. This time, when the E-mail dialog box opens, select Attachments (original file format).

- Select the maximum file size (like in Step 9). When you're ready, click OK.
- Again, a new e-mail opens with your selected photos attached. Just address your e-mail, write your message in the body of the e-mail, and send it.

E-mail a MediaOne Show using a Web-based E-mail Account
- Follow Step 1 above to select the photos you'd like to share, and then click the Quick Review button at the top of the MediaOne screen.
- When the Quick Review starts, click Pause.

- Click the Save as Corel Show button (it's the second to last button in the bottom toolbar).

- Give your show a name, and then click Save. Once your show is saved click the X in the right corner of the screen to exit Quick Review. Now you can open a new e-mail from your Web-based e-mail service and attach the slide show.
