The hardest part was getting the tones, shapes, and textures right so that they matched what was not there anymore with the balance of the photo. I used the same tool but with different settings for the hardness, density, pixel size, and opacity. The finished photo was then printed out on an Epson Stylus C-62 on high gloss photo paper. . I think the result is dramatic. I bought Paint Shop Pro because of its attractive price, but I’m very impressed with its capabilities, and it doesn’t require all of my limited hard drive capacity! I think it’s the perfect tool for the serious hobbyist.' ))

I figured making wallpaper should follow the same principals as stationary, so I decided to give it a try and see what happened! <br><br>“I simply followed the same procedure I would have used if I were creating a letter, merely changing the size of the transparent image. I started with a 1024 x 768 transparent image and using the plumeria image, pasted it into the large transparency. I employed various Paint Shop Pro effects, including Seamless Tiling, Blur, Feedback, and Sunburst. Then I masked my original flower image and pasted it as a new layer, watermarked my new wallpaper, and downloaded. Voila! No worries about downloading unwanted items and it only took about five minutes from start to finish. <br><br >“This was actually one of my first wallpapers. Since then, I’ve created about 20 more! I love my Paint Shop Pro! I never considered myself an artistic person at all, but this hobby has opened up a whole new facet to my personality. . I made the frame using Picture Tubes. I cut and pasted the baseball until it made a frame. It turned out great!' ))

 and I photo edited the picture in Paint Shop Pro 8. <br><br >First, I cropped the photo to delete unwanted areas. Then I used the Magic Wand to select parts of the canyon walls that were under or overexposed and used the Burn and Dodge tools to darken or lighten these areas. The sky was also overexposed. To match the sky’s true color I used the Eye Dropper tool to sample the blue of the sky from another photo taken in the canyon and then the Paintbrush tool to paint in the sky in this photo. There were a few overexposed spots on the rocks and I used the Clone Tool to copy the color and texture from the surrounding rocks.'))
. I’ve always used Paint Shop Pro. I looked into other programs but they were a lot more money, and Paint Shop Pro does the same things. I create custom tiles, for people’s homes. There are a lot of people who love a certain art image and want it in their home. The process of adding an image to tile is called dye sublimation. First, I work with the image to restore it with Paint Shop Pro. I take out the crackles, bring up the colors. Then I create a transfer sheet with sublimation dyes and put it in a press with the tile. It cooks for about 10 minutes at 400 degrees with 50 pounds of pressure. The dye turns to gas form and is ‘sublimated’ or forced under the polymer coating on the surface of the tile. Then the tile is removed and the polymer coating hardens again. <br><br >I get some pretty unusual requests at times. I’m currently working up a treatment of Michelangelo’s ‘God Creating the Sun and Moon’ from the Sistine chapel. I’m doing it as a 3-foot by 5-foot mural on tumbled marble tiles. The client is going to install it in a shower with a surround of 12x12 limestone tiles. Another project I am working on is for a church in Texas, they want 3000+copies of family photos on 1x1 tiles, that when assembled will show the face of Jesus.' )){kind=spacer}

 I realized the photos from Friday afternoon were missing. I thought they were totally lost. The next day I noticed the Photo Recovery Icon on my desktop and decided to try it. I stuck the card into the reader, clicked the Photo Recovery icon and within seconds (well maybe minutes, there were a lot of pictures) Friday afternoon was back! Photo Recovery really worked and we now have a record of our Annual Meeting and a member being awarded a new sewing machine!' ))

. To get this effect, I used Paint Shop Pro’s Straighten Tool because the photo was slightly, but noticeably, tilted. I used the Sepia Effect to remove color. Then, I gave it the Sandstone Texture Effect to create the line drawing effect. Lastly, I did a little cloning to touch up some artifacts in the smooth sky that had become noticeable.' ))

 with good close-up capability and an auto focus that gives me the accuracy needed for quick shooting from just a few inches. All my pictures are processed using Paint Shop Pro and then turned into slide presentations. This allows me the flexibility to share what my friends and I see in the Arkansas outdoors. The original intent was to give presentations to outdoor and hiking clubs, but it has been well received by the local artist’s associations, master gardeners, and camera clubs. After a presentation people always comment on what a really good camera I must have to take such great pictures. I always tell them that the computer and image editor have just as much impact on the creation of a good photograph as the camera.' ))
