This is just one of the really cool things you can do in DVD MovieFactory 6 Plus. Capture your HD footage, select HD DVD in preferences, and author an HD DVD project. In the final burning step, all you need to do is insert a standard DVD, and DVD MovieFactory will burn a "DVD 3X" disc that can play about 20 minutes of HD video on an HD DVD player like the Toshiba HD-A1 or the XBox 360 add-on player. It will also play full-res HD on your PC with suitable player software. |

What is the difference between the way DVD MovieFactory works with HD DVD and Blu-ray? |

- If you have a Blu-ray burner: You can connect your HDV camcorder and record your video directly to Blu-ray disc. This disc will play back full-resolution HD video on your Blu-ray player or Sony PS 3. The Blu-ray Disc Recorder in DVD MovieFactory 6 Plus lets you burn previously-created HD video in the BDAV format to Blu-ray Disc.
- If you have an HD DVD burner: You can capture HD video, edit it, author HD DVD menus, and burn the resulting project to HD DVD, to play back on your burner or a standalone player.
- If you have an HD DVD player, but no burner: you can capture HD video, author an HD production, and burn it to standard DVD to create a "3X DVD" disc. This will play back on your HD DVD player.
