Adding graphics to headers and footers in WordPerfect X3

You can create eye-catching headers and footers in WordPerfect® X3 by adding an image, such as a company logo or clipart. You can add a horizontal line to separate the header or footer from the document text.

To add an image to a header or footer

  1. Click where you want to insert an image in the header or footer.
  2. Click Insert > Graphics > From File.
  3. Choose the drive and folder where the file is stored.
  4. Click the image you want to insert.
  5. Click Insert.

To add clipart to a header or footer

  1. Click where you want to insert a clipart image in the header or footer.
  2. Click Insert > Graphics > Clipart.
    The Scrapbook opens.
  3. Browse through the folders in the Scrapbook until you find the image that you want to insert.
  4. Select the clipart image.
  5. Click Insert.

To add a border to an image in a header or footer

  1. Click the image in the header or footer.
  2. On the property bar, click the Border Style picker , and choose a border style.

    By clicking the Image tools button on the property bar, you can access various tools for modifying the image.

To add a horizontal line to a header or footer

  1. Click where you want to add a horizontal line to the header or footer.
  2. Click Insert > Line > Custom Line.
  3. Enable the Horizontal line option, and modify any of the settings in the Line attributes area.
