Managing project files better using Smart Package
You can better manage your project files by using Smart Package. This feature allows you to automatically save your .VSP project and all the files you used there in a single folder location.
In a few steps, you can save a project using Smart Package...
- Start a new project and add several video and audio files to it. For this tutorial, we will use clips from the Library. You can also use your own files.
- Click Edit Step and add the V05, V21, and V17 video clips to the Video Track.
- Click Audio Step and add the A01 to the Music Track.
- When done, click File: Smart Package. Click Yes in the message prompt and save your project as VIDEO PROJECT.VSP in the Save As dialog box. Your project is save in the specified location.
- The Smart Package dialog box opens. The current location of your saved project is specified in Folder path. Click Browse to choose another location for your packaged project files. Your project name is specified in Project folder name and Project file name. You may enter different file and project folder names, but let us keep these for now. Click OK.
- Your project and all files associated with it are automatically saved in the specified location.
If you explore the VIDEO PROJECT folder, you will find a copy of your project file VIDEO PROJECT.VSP and all other files used in the project.
Now, you will have no problem with missing files or lost links when you share your project or access it in the future.
