Drawing a grid pattern in CorelDRAW® 10
In CorelDRAW® 10, you can draw a grid pattern using the Graph paper tool. This feature lets you make grids, graph paper, and tables. The Graph paper tool lets you have control over the specific aspects of the grid, so you can customize it to suit each project.
To draw a grid pattern:
- Click the Polygon tool flyout, and click the Graph paper tool.
- In the Graph paper columns and rows box on the property bar, type the number of columns and rows for the grid.
- Click where you want the grid to display, and drag diagonally to draw the grid.

Using images to shape terrains in Bryce® 5
In Bryce 5, you can shape terrains using imported image files. This feature allows you to create terrains in the form of specific images.
To apply an image to a terrain:
- With the terrain selected, click Objects Edit object.
- In the Editing tools panel, click the Pictures tab.
- On top of either of the two image windows, click Load.
- In the Open dialog box, choose the drive and folder where the file is stored.
- Click Open.
- Click Apply.
Publishing your documents to PDF from WordPerfect® and Corel® Presentations™ 10
Users can share documents across applications and platforms with the formatting intact with the powerful PDF capabilities in WordPerfect® 10 and Corel® Presentations™ 10. After creating your document in WordPerfect® 10 or slideshow in Corel Presentations 10, go to File/Publish to PDF. The output will be a PDF file that can be distributed to others without having to worry about lost formatting.

Multiplying two matrices in Quattro Pro® 10
In Quattro Pro® 10, you can perform a multiplication operation on two matrices (that is, a rectangular array of numbers). This feature lets you multiply the elements of one matrix by the elements of a second matrix and sum their products. For example, a business can compute the costs of various fixed-time jobs using workers in different hourly rate categories.
To multiply two matrices:
- Click Tools, Numeric tools, Multiply.
- Type the coordinates of the two matrices to be multiplied in the following boxes:
• Matrix 1
• Matrix 2 - In the Destination box, specify the cell that will display the result.
• The number of columns in the first matrix must equal the number of rows in the second matrix.
