Creating 3D zig-zag effects around the center of an image in CorelPHOTO-PAINT® 10

In CorelPHOTO-PAINT® 10, you can create a 3D zig-zag effect around the center of an image. This feature lets you create distortion waves to give an image the illusion of depth.

To create a 3D zig-zag effect around the center of an image:

1. Click Effects, 3D effects, Zig zag.
2. Click the Set center button.
3. In the image window, click to define a center point around which the image will zig-zag.
4. Adjust the values on one or more of the following sliders:
   • Waves — sets the number of waves
   • Strength — sets the intensity of the waves

In Bryce® 5, you can shape terrains using imported image files. This feature allows you to create terrains in the form of specific images.

To apply an image to a terrain:

1. With the terrain selected, click Objects, Edit object.
2. In the Editing tools panel, click the Pictures tab.
3. On top of either of the two image windows, click Load.
4. In the Open dialog box, choose the drive and folder where the file is stored.
5. Click Open.
6. Click Apply.

Inserting QuickMarks in WordPerfect® 10

In WordPerfect® 10, you can insert QuickMarks into documents. This feature lets you mark a place so that you can return to that location quickly the next time you open the document. For example, if you are reviewing a document and must close it, you can return to the place where you left off the next time you open the document.

To insert a QuickMark:

1. Click where you want to insert a QuickMark.
2. Click Tools, Bookmark.
3. Click Set QuickMark.
4. Enable the Go to QuickMark on file open check box.
   The next time you open the document, it opens to the place you inserted the QuickMark.
