Corel at Seybold Seminars NY 2002—Derek Burney, president and CEO of Corel Corporation to deliver keynote address

Correcting text while typing in CorelDRAW® 10
In CorelDRAW® 10, you can correct text while typing. This feature lets you automatically correct typographical errors and misspelled words as you type.
To correct text while typing:
- Click Text, Writing tools, QuickCorrect™.
- Enable any of the following check boxes:
• Capitalize first letter of sentences – capitalizes the first letter of every sentence if the letter isn't capitalized as you type
• Change straight quotes to typographic quotes – changes quotation marks to stylized typographic ones as you type
• Correct two initial, consecutive capitals – changes the case of the second letter if two letters at the beginning of a word are both capitalized
• Capitalize names of days – capitalizes the first letter of the names of days
• Replace text while typing – replaces specified words with replacement text
To specify words to replace while typing, type the text in the Replace box. Type the replacement text in the With box, and click Add.
Bryce® 5.01 Update now available

Bryce Camp is back! The fourth Bryce Camp will be held May 20-24 2002, in beautiful Sedona, Arizona
Students will have the opportunity to spend five intensive days in a first-class Mac/PC lab, improving their mastery of Corel's 3D natural landscape software with help from some of the best Bryce talent in the world.
Sponsored by Corel along with Peachpit Press and Pandromeda, the event will be held at the Sedona Center for Arts and Technology (www.sedonacenter.org/index1.html). Students will be using the latest PC and Macintosh workstations at the Sedona Center's media lab. The lab is fully networked with a T1 line and plentiful peripherals like Wacom tablets, CD burners, scanners, and printers.
The faculty will include "Real World Bryce 4" author Susan Kitchens, as well as Hollywood digital artist Chris Casady, world-renowned computer artist and computer graphics researcher Dr. Ken Musgrave, 3D artist Scott Tucker, and 3D artist and animator Clay Hagebusch, who created some of the images used for the Bryce 5 box and splash screen.

Zooming in on selected areas in Bryce® 5
In Bryce® 5, you can zoom in on a specific area so that it fills the working window. This feature allows you view a small area of an image in greater detail.
To zoom in on a selected area:
- Click Render all to begin rendering the scene.
- Click Render all again to pause the rendering.
- Marquee select the area of the scene you want to zoom in on.
- Click the triangle below the Render controls of the marquee, and click Zoom to selection.

In Corel® Presentations™ 10, you can change bulleted list properties. This feature lets you modify how lists look, giving you more creative freedom in your documents.
To change bulleted list properties:
- Select a bulleted list.
- Click Format, Bulleted list properties.
- Click the Bullets tab.
- Specify any properties you want to apply to the bulleted list, such as shape, size, and color.
