What's New With WordPerfect®
Corel Presents Worldwide Preview of WordPerfect® Office 2002
WordPerfect® Office 2002, the latest version of Corel's office suite, was previewed at last month's Fall COMDEX and is scheduled for release in the first half of 2001. The upcoming release will include four tightly integrated core applications: WordPerfect® 10, the award-winning word processor; Quattro® Pro 10, the full-featured spreadsheet; Corel® Presentations™ 10, the powerful slide show program and CorelCENTRAL™ 10, the personal information manager. Paradox® 10, the powerful relational database, will be included in one of the various versions of the suite, details of which will be released in the coming months. WordPerfect Office 2002 will allow users to enjoy the same familiar environment while delivering several enhancements and increased compatibility. The new suite will also feature many value-added extras, including the electronic version of the world-renowned Pocket Oxford Dictionary. Quick Tip Creating reports using Quick Report in Paradox® 9 In Paradox 9, you can create reports using Quick Report. This feature lets you generate a basic report from a table. To create a report using Quick Report: 1. Open the table that you want to generate your report from. 2. Click Tools, Quick Design, Quick Report. Sneak Peek at Corel® Painter™ 6.1 Update: Tell Us What You Think

Corel has released a beta version of the upcoming Corel® Painter™ 6.1 update and it's available for download now. Download the Patch Now! The final version of the Corel Painter 6.1 update is scheduled for release early next year and will include many new features (such as a woodcut effect), enhancements (to the soften, sharpen and highpass features) and fixes. We'd also like to hear your feedback so that we can make the final version of the patch even better for you, our valued customer. We encourage all our users to try out the beta patch and post your comments to the Corel Painter newsgroup.

Quick Tip Adding cell comments into Quattro Pro 9 for Linux spreadsheets: In Quattro Pro 9 for Linux, you can add cell comments into a spreadsheet. This feature lets you add extra information to spreadsheet cells without it displaying or printing with the rest of the data. To add a cell comment: 1. Click a cell. 2. Click Insert, Comment. 3. Type a comment. 4. Click outside the comment bubble. Note: To apply changes you make to the language settings, you must log out of Corel LINUX OS and restart the Corel LINUX OS desktop.
