Visually, there appears to be a space between the words, but WordPerfect interprets the hard space as a text character. In July, Hemera Technologies Inc. acquired GraphicCorp, a division of Corel, as well as Corel's collection of premium and stock digital photographic images. As part of the transaction, Corel obtained a 23 per cent equity interest in Hemera. |
The companies have also entered into agreements which allow Corel to maintain perpetual licenses to use and distribute the image content in its products and online services. In addition, Corel and Hemera will collaborate to offer several online image content services, including Corel® Studio. |

In late June, Corel signed a worldwide deal with Hewlett-Packard, the world's largest scanning manufacturer, that will see Corel Print House 2000 OEM version bundled with the HP® ScanJet® 4300C scanner, which is targeted to the home market. Later in July, Corel announced another deal with HP to bundle Corel PHOTO-PAINT 8 for Power Macintosh® OEM version and Corel Print Office 2000 OEM version with the HP ScanJet 5370C scanner, which targets the small and home office market. |
Also in July, Corel announced a deal with Wacom to bundle Corel® Painter Classic with Wacom's Intuos and Graphire graphic tablets. This combination promises to create an exceptional computer system for painting, illustrating and editing images. And for the last in an impressive trio of strategic partnerships, Corel announced a deal with Aiptek to bundle Art Dabbler® OEM version with its HyperPen line of graphics tablets. Art Dabbler is a natural drawing, painting and animation program for both aspiring and accomplished artists of all ages. |
