To provide our customers with the best possible product performance, Corel is pleased to release the following updates to WinDVD 2010:

New Features & Improvements

  • Support for new platforms, new Intel® CoreTM Processor families, HBR audio support
  • Improved file playback
  • Improved hardware compatibility

Bug Fixes

  • When Equalizer settings are changed from "Default" to others or from others to "Default", DSP functions as designed to enhance audio playback experience
  • Default subtitle language setting works properly
  • When playing back video with Dolby AC3 2.0CH, audio technologies, such as Stereo, Dolby Headphone and Corel Headphone, now work properly when you change the audio device from multiple speakers to headphone
  • Smooth playback of DVDs with ATI HD3200 onboard VGA card and Windows® 7 (64-bit)
  • No temporary playlist after you close WinDVD

Note: Please install Service Pack 1 before installing this Service Pack (version 10.0.5.163). This Service Pack cannot be applied to the trial version.

WinDVD 2010 Service Pack 1 Notes:

To provide our customers with the best possible product performance, Corel is pleased to release the following updates to WinDVD 2010:

  • Changed color button orders and added color indicator to the buttons
  • Updated Help file
  • Added new logos in stop logo to indicate that AVCHD™ is supported in the SKU
  • Changed volume control to 50 levels
  • Added keyboard shortcut for fast forward and rewind: left arrow for rewind and right arrow for fast forward
  • Added Gesture support: Tab and hold to open right-click menu

Bug fixes

You can now:

  • play files when double-clicking the file in Windows® XP
  • play back DVD movies when there are two sound cards in the system
  • display Traditional Chinese with Windows XP
  • display the mapped network driver on Open window

Important note: This update is for WinDVD 2010 only. If you are a Corel® Digital Studio™ 2010 owner, you will receive the WinDVD 2010 patch when you update Digital Studio. This patch cannot be applied to the trial version.
