DVD is still the most popular format for sharing and watching your home movies, and it is also great for making backup of your files, photos and videos.  Corel Digital Studio offers a full set of tools to copy, burn, convert and play discs and movies.

CHOOSE STYLE

Open DVD Factory 2010, and select the movies you want to include on your DVD.  From the Toolbar, click Create and select Video Disc.

1. PERSONALISE MENU

Choose a Style, and your project will open showing a menu.  Change the menu text to something more suitable, such as “Vacation Pool Fun”.  Reposition menu elements if you wish to change the layout a little.

Click on Soundtrack to choose different background music for your menu.  You’ll notice that that the position of buttons and tools are very similar across applications, making it easier to find your way around from one to the other.  Now just insert a blank DVD, and click Burn!

2. BACKUP AND CONVERT

Click on the Copy tab on the main toolbar.  Here you can make backups of your photos and data to an external hard drive, and transfer movies, photos and music to your phone or player to share on the go.

Under Copy tools, click on Disc to Disc to make quick copies of DVDs and CDs.  (Note that DVD Factory will not copy or rip copy-protected discs.)

3. PLAY YOUR MOVIES

When you have produced your movie, launch Corel WinDVD 2010 to play it back on your PC.  The controls layout is very familiar, simple and uncluttered.  Double-click anywhere on the screen to show full-screen, click again to minimize.  You can play back video files in most popular formats, as well as DVD and AVCHD™ discs.
